In 2012, the Diocesan Convention voted to launch a capital campaign to grow Camp McDowell's ministries with wonderful and accessible new facilities. The camp addition was named Bethany at Camp McDowell, honoring the place where Jesus' friends lived and creating a place of healing, fellowship, teaching, and retreat.
We have now completed Bethany and we are using it for more summer camps, parish retreats, a Farm School, the Alabama Folk School, and for other ministries and groups. We have raised more funds than any other diocesan campaign. Be a part of the completion of this incredible campaign! Circle Up! Lead or join a "Circle of Friends" to contribute to help raise $1 million by December 31, 2016.
A giving circle is a group of friends who combine their pledges in order to have a naming opportunity at Bethany.
If 7 friends combine their pledges of $1,500, just $25 a month for 5 years, they will have a $10K naming opportunity. This is fun for summer staffs, reunion groups, bible study groups, EfM groups and more. They can all add their names to an 11X17 paver that will be incorporated into a raised planter at the entrance of The Doug. What are you waiting for? Circle Up!
