Educator Workshops through our McDowell Environmental Center and Farm School

March 8, 2019 - June 30, 2019

We partner with many organizations and foundations to make outdoor learning opportunities for educators easily accessible. Through grants and partnerships, we are able to offer one day, three-day, and even week-long workshops to help teachers connect their subject area to the natural world, focusing on their local places. We call this Place-Based Education!

Some of our sponsors and supporters include: Legacy, Partners in Environmental Education; Hugh Kaul Foundation; Susan Mott Webb Charitable Trust; Environmental Education Association of Alabama; Alabama Science Teachers Association of Alabama.
